Hanging out at Kansas City Art Institute

Within a few minutes a pretty good sized crowd had gathered. KCAI is very welcoming to the Gypsy Birds. Good crowd. Lots of petting of the birds and passing them around.

The Chicken Cart

The roof is salvaged metal, the insulation old clothing. I used an old wheel chair to make the carriage it rides on. There are removable window panels to open the structure up to the outside.  A plug in heat lamp warms the birds and their food is a mix of scraps and grain.
A work in progress; expect paintings to adorn the outside and a nice hand hold system for pulling.  Come spring a pull out fence will be designed and built to create a safe outdoor space for these purdy birdies. The chickens will live in a few spots, moving around Kansas City on a whim.
